WHR Launched a New Project

A new project funded by the UN Democracy Fund on "Advocating for the Rights of Widows in Nepal" has been launched by WHR. The project has been commenced from 1 April, 2011 and will continue till 31 March 2013.
The overall project focuses on three major areas:
1. Mainstreaming widows' issues at the national level
2. Capacity building of widows and sensitization program for civil society
3. Protection of widows' human rights and mainstreaming widows' issues at the international levelWHR expresses heartfelt gratitude to UN Democracy Fund for its generous support in mainstreaming widows' issues at the national and international level.
