Way forward for SANWED

SANWED, an advocating network of WHR organized a conference titled ?WAY FORWARD FOR SANWED? at Hotel Radisson dated 4th December with the support from the Embassy of Denmark. The conference aimed to disseminate the draft Widows? Charter, inform about the Colombo Declaration, an outcome of the 15th SAARC Summit and to share the views and seek suggestions for leading SANWED in future.

There were altogether 74 participants representing various organizations such as non government organizations, Nepal BAR association, SAARC secretariat, representatives of Ministries, media personnels. Ms. Sahana Pradhan, Former Minister for Foreign Affairs, was the special guest for the program.

The SANWED conference was successful in meeting its objectives as set. WHR will internalize the invaluable inputs given by participants and distinguished guests and will work accordingly to lead SANWED, an advocating network ahead.
