Single Women Entrepreneurs’ Group (SWEG) is a social enterprise of WHR, where single women are given skill development trainings for income generating activities. SWEG harnesses the skills and experiences of single women who are excluded from the job market, develops their skills in innovative ways and provides employment in a conducive environment. It has been providing trainings to hundreds of single women. At the beginning, it started as a small business called “Single Women Corner”. Slowly, it has been expanding with the support of WHR and commitment and sincere endeavor of its members. It can be witnessed as the survival mechanism and glimpse of hope of many single women.
Services and Products
SWEG has been providing various types of services and products for both personal and official uses from schools, hostels, hospitals to various social, cultural and religious functions and ceremonies. The group has been providing lunch and catering services, renting training hall and different kinds of tailoring products. Similarly, providing trainings to single women from districts to enhance their capacity for income generating activities by making and promoting Nepalese handicrafts is another activity carried out by SWEG.
SWEG has been producing different items used for various purposes. SWEG has been producing items needed for individual, household and official purposes; schools, hostels and hospitals and other various social, cultural and religious functions and ceremonies. The group also collects and sells the handicrafts made by the single women at districts using their local and sustainable resources. The group produces any items and handicrafts as per the order.
SWEG has been providing prompt, affordable and hygienic tiffin, lunch and mini catering services to various organizations.

“SWEG Chhahari” has a spacious training hall with the facilities of all the required equipments for the training. The training hall can accommodate up to 30 people. SWEG also arranges for the food while the trainings are being conducted. If needed, accommodation & logistic arrangements are available for female participants only.
